虽说无一物,尘埃处处盖。未经勤拂拭,何知镜非台?

Most of us just want the war, literal or otherwise, to end. The attacker wants it to end in his victory, expecting something to gain for the win, the defender wants it to end without having to lose anything, and the innocent masses want it to end so they can go back to their peaceful everyday lives.

And war rages on, day by day. Actual or imagined conflicts, worthy or trivial. Sometimes even just an idea, and the desire to prove one's ideas cause strife in the heart. Trying to prove that one is right. But is one attempting to prove it to the world? Or merely to oneself?

War with oneself, perhaps, is exceedingly easy to resolve. One needs not consider multiple strategies and counter-strategies, of resources and courses of action. One simply needs to not fight.
