Sometimes I paint an ugly picture of the world for myself. It helps when life actually comes and stares you in the face and you find that hey, compared to the horrible drawing you just made, the crude sketch that is life isn't so bad after all. But sometimes I look at all the ugly and forget that there's a nicer view if you look beyond the picture.
